She compressed her lip and gave a small, sad smile. "I'm sorry... I know how you feel. It was not at all a pleasant experience for me either." Her mare shifted beneath her, and she rubbed her neck without saying a word.

Anastasya nodded, reining her mare up parallel, but still a good distance from Cassandra's. She grew quiet for a moment, looking over the open as the moon colored a silvery path toward the horizon. "That's good."

Nodding her head in agreement she bent down to pick up a small grey stone.Cassandra ran her thumb over it three times before throwing it into the sea,letting the sound echo for a few moments before saying"I should get going,dad is probably having a fit right now,"smiling softly before adding"I should have been home hours ago."Tugging on Calypso's reins slightly to get her attention"Will I be seeing you any time soon?"

"Likely tomorrow... I won't be out on the beach until later in the day, however. I don't wish to fight others for space, and take risk for my mare, or myself." She confirmed. "Though, I do work at the Bakery if you'd like to stop by sometime... The November Cakes this time of year are scrumptious." Anastasya flashed her a grin. "It was nice meeting you in any case."

"I usually train out here on the cliffs,but I was planning on going to paint on the beach tomorrow anyway so I might see you there"she replied,returning Anastasya's grin"I guess I'll have to get myself some November Cakes then."Cassandra used a nearby rock to mount Calypso "It was a pleasure to meet you."With a small wave she started on her way home.

She turned, hesitating for only a moment. There were only the two of them... She was certain they could separate the water horses if this backfired. Abruptly she gave Nausicaä a kick, giving a small whoop, and allowing her some rein. The Capall launched forward, streaking up to, then past Calypso and Cass as they walked. She was screaming happily as the sea-scented wind flooded her lungs. "Come on, just a play race for now!" Ana called over her shoulder.

Cassandra stopped dead in her tracks and stared at the two,dumbfounded,for a moment before pushing Calypso forward in a flash of black."Yes!Faster girl!We can't let them beat us"whooping and yelling encouragement to her mare.Cassandra tilted her head back and let out heartfelt laugh as the Capall Uisce surged forward,almost caught caught up.

Anastasya squeezed tightly with her legs, hunching down on Nausicaä's back, gripping the reins in one hand, and her mane in the steely grasp of her other. She let her mare slow enough so that their strides would match, her dorsal stripe in sight now that they were parallel and somewhat closer. Muscles moved smoothly beneath the grulla-brindled coat, her black mane and tail whipping around in the wind.

With Calypso matching Nausicaä stride for stride Cassandra finnaly found time to catch her breath,panting lightly she patted her mare's neck and smiled at Anastasya"That was fun"she was grinning from ear to ear"It has been a long time scince I've felt like this"

She cast the other girl her own grin, ignoring her own hair that flicked to and fro, in and out of her face like that. "It really has been the the same for me!" She reined the in Capall, though the mare tossed her head, wanting to keep running as she slowed.

Although her hair was plastered to face at odd angles and her glasses looked like they were about to fall of Cassandra couldn't have been happier.She even let Calypso give a buck-though the mare was still unsatisfied and wanted to keep running-as she gave one final whoop.

Once she'd managed to stop her mare, Ana leaned forward and immediately rubbed her neck on both sides in praise. The mare screamed happily toward the sea. "You are my good girl... Very good girl." The water horse snapped her teeth in the air in pleasure.
