Phoenix nodded measly, she couldn't exactly deny that she didn't hurt her side was already painted with a rough red mark from where his hoof connected with her flesh. She walked along side Roland, pondering her thoughts and their actions. "You're afraid of my capall, aren't you?" she asked him. she mused her thoughts some more, "But why? other than the fact that they are capall, you seem to have a deeper fear than that. a fear and respect for them? she guessed, turning her head towards him her blonde hair whipping across her face int he wind.

"Respect... Perhaps some fear as well.... Though more is respect. I've ridden in the Races before... To not have even some small fear of them makes rider, or resident alike mad. Though I can't say much on that matter since my daughter doesn't seem to fear them." He shook his head, eyes skimming along some of the bigger boats on the pier. A moment later, he turned them away from it, moving then in the direction of Hastoway, where he knew a small medical clinic would be. His eyes were slightly distant when he next spoke. "Too many have died from them..."

Phoenix followed his footsteps and nodded her head. she understood what he meant about fear and respect. she feared the capall she just refused to let them know that, if they knew she feared them she would never have lived passed her first ride. How much farther are we going? she asked him, her side was in much more pain now than it had been a few minutes ago.
sorry crappy reply

"Here." He opened a glass door for her to step in. "We'll get it checked and I'll pick you up a bottle of Tylenol to take care of any future pain. Its the least I can do." Again, Roland had not missed the glimmer of pain in her eyes. "No protesting either, just go."
