Name: Séamus Finnegan O'hare

Personality: Séamus is usually friendly and outgoing around people that he decides are worth talking to, however, he can be quick tempered. He spends a lot of time in the kitchen of the Skarmouth pub, the Black Eyed Girl and takes great pride in his cooking, always making sure that every dish he makes is to the best of his ability (even though it's just pub food, like pie and chips and other culinary masterpieces). The radio in the kitchen can pick up mainland radio stations and he can often be heard singing loudly and tone-deafly in the kitchen. He often smuggles raw meat from the kitchen to use in an attempt to win over his notoriously wild Uisce stallion,
Zakhar.
Appearance: Around 5'6" with mousey, slightly coppery hair that is in an untidy mop on top of his head. His chin is stubbled with bristly hairs and his eyes are blue. He is slim but surprisingly strong when holding his Capall in check.
Distinguishing Characteristics: A heavy island accent. Several tattered layers of clothing, synonymously a denim jacket and a well worn khaki jacket over the top.

History: Séamus' family had been wanting to leave the island and set off for the mainland, his parents dreaming of leaving the Thisby way of life behind them. Money was short and Séamus entered the Scorpio Races one November, in hope of winning enough to pay for the family to set up a comfortable life on the mainland. Come racing day, Séamus drank and drank until passing out in his small apartment. No one could sober him up in time and he was thoroughly unfit to race. On the spur of the moment, Séamus' younger brother, Martin, volunteered to race in his place. Martin had no experience with the Capall uisce and was thrown from the saddle and trampled to death by hooves. Séamus feels that his brother's blood is on his hands and his father does too. Martin was the favourite son. His mother passed from a broken heart soon after his death and Séamus is held personally responsible by his father. Séamus is determined to tame the beast that threw his brother and win the races; he wants to prove to his father that he is not a drunken waste of space.

Appearance and Color: A light dappled grey stallion standing at around 17-18hh. He has darker points on his knees and on his nose. His mane and tail are relatively light in colour.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Zakhar is tall and slim, with a thin neck and finely boned face. He moves in an elegance that is more feline than equine.
Personality: Zakhar has been in Séamus' family for about five years and still, he his unpredictable. He is sly and untrustworthy on occasion and a fine and dutiful mount on others. He's a fast sprinter on a good day but usually uses up his energy too early or wastes it on fighting both Séamus and the other capall, he can't be trusted to run too close to the surf, even on a good day the smell of salt water will send him into a frenzy.His rider Séamus is the only one who can even slightly handle him and he is determined to tame him completely but Zakhar has still given him a few bites and broken bones to remind him that he won't be so easily beaten.
