Personality: Adelaide is a vibrant and cheerful person most of the time. She loves a laugh and is rarely seen without a smile on her face. Her job means she has to be a people person and she quite enjoys engaging in small-talk with customers, until they get a bit rowdy and over the top, at which point that usually means it's almost closing time.When Adelaide meets new people outside of work, she tends to be a little more withdrawn, she's happy to say hello, but after that, whoever talking to her will need to coax a conversation out of her, at least until she gets to know them. Adelaide loves her horses, both natural and Capall Uisce alike, if she's not at her work, she'll be down at the beach/cliffs with Bel, or helping out with breaking or training of the island horses.
Appearance: 5"3, petite yet athletic build, long dark brown hair, oval face, expressive brown eyes.
Distinguishing Characteristics: When she is angry, you know it; not because she runs around tearing everyone's head's off. No, Adelaide is one of those people who go terrifyingly silent, and you'll be lucky to even get an acknowledgement when passing her. Loves to sketch in her spare time (not that she has a whole lot), usually of Bel or the island ponies, though each November she takes time to do a painting of the great race, that is, if she's not riding in it.

History: Adelaide was born and raised in Thisby. She has an older sister and two older brothers. Her mother died when she was 6, leaving her father to raise her and her siblings alone on their small property. One by one Adelaide's brother's and sister left the island in search of a 'better' life, Adelaide has always been confused about their reason for leaving, as Thisby was their home, her home, and although it can be a dangerous place when November hits, Adelaide doesn't know how she could possibly move away.
Her father died not even 2 years ago from old age, three days before Adelaide's birthday. But a couple of weeks prior, he had called some of the guys from the Malvern yard and asked them to catch a Capall Uisce for his daughter as a gift and that is how Bel came to belong to Adelaide. (some may say it's an inappropriate gift for a young woman, but ever since Adelaide's father took her to watch her first Scorpio Races, he could tell by the look in her eye that she was in love with the beautiful yet ferocious creatures).

Appearance and Color: 14.3hh, liver chestnut, blaze.
Distinguishing Characteristics: colour, strong feathered legs, solid build, good doer (lives happily on island grass), kind eye.
Personality: Very sweet, smart, been there done that attitude, a bit lazy.
Other: Bobby isn't 'scared' of the water horses, but he is very cautious and will stand stock-still if one is in his sights. Although with that said, he and Bel seem to have a mutual agreement going on (Bobby stays out of Bel's way and Bel won't eat him...)

Appearance and Color: Bel stands roughly at 18hh. His coat is a deep golden buckskin which gets a metallic shine as the sun hits it. He has four socks and a stripe down the middle of his face. Bel's build could be defined as a frame built for speed, his long legs and stream-lined body help him 'cut' through the air, while his powerful hindquarters propel his body forwards with ease. This however, also means that if the ocean calls him, he can quite easily slip into
waves, dragging his rider with him, never to be seen again.
Distinguishing Characteristics: His colour and a noticeable scar that narrowly misses his left eye before running down his cheek and stops just shy of his wind pipe (attained via a fight with another uisce). He also makes a soft (some what affectionate) clucking noise when Adelaide is around.
Personality: Belenos has a very strong personality. He pulls like a freight-train when ridden so Adelaide really needs to keep a firm hold on him when in the saddle. Bel doesn't like being challenged; all those bells and iron, and getting angry/forceful etc, is considered a challenge to the buckskin so Adelaide needs to be firm whilst remaining calm when leading him. Adelaide figured this out early on, so when Bel is handled/ridden he only wears a red ribbon head collar/bridle as that is enough to keep him under control. Bel has grown to love Adelaide, but he only shows this by his clucking sound and by not attacking her.
Other: Belenos is named after the Celtic god of the sun because of his vibrant coat colour.
He tolerates Adelaide's island pony Bobby, purely because he knows Adelaide loves Bobby and because there is a lane-way separating their post & rail paddocks.
